Robert Irvine Nash was a Military Policeman in WWII, he served in Africa and Italy starting as a soldier and ending his career as a captain. He became a US Marshal in Texas in 1961 and had 15 deputy marshals and clerical assistants work under him.

Nash was present on the 23rd of 1963 during the first interrogation of Lee Harvey Oswald that morning. He is mentioned in Will Fritz’s handwritten interrogations notes. What exactly he was there for is a mystery. There is no documentation available at present.
