It's not as good as the Weigman footage that shows the same guy on the same steps but it's good enough for me to see Billy Nolan Lovelady stood where he was stood during the parade in both Altgens-6 and Weigman...

Lee, in Weigman, Lovelady is not stood in the same position as you claim Lovelady is in Darnell or have I misunderstood something?

No, Paul.  I knew once I posted it that it would possibly be taken literally.  I should have said he is in the general vicinity of where he was stood watching the parade in Weigman and Altgens-6.  He obviously moved a few feet here and there between pictures/movies and changed steps but, and I cannot express how confident I am here, the same guy is on the same "steps" in all of the photos and pictures.  

Why we are discussing a "blondie" is quite simply beyond me to think rationally right now.  I feel like I've gone back in time to Cinque Island where I once spent an entire summer being introduced to mythical creatures.

Cinque land - wow! It may not be Jane Berry -  i said she was the only one I've found who "sort of" looked like the person in Vinny's gifs. And if it's Lovelady explain how we see the left side of his neck entering in the midline of his head? I don't get it. You're entitled to your opinion - but  If anyone is in Cinque land it's not me.  Did i say YOU were in "Cinque land"?  I disagree with you on this but I'm trying to offer logical reasons it can't be Lovelady -  i don't appreciate being painted with the "Cinque brush" like i'm some whacko! 

If Linda's work stands up to scrutiny then she must be on to something.
Cinque land is more like Disney Land in that one visits it on occasion, but only Ralph is a full time resident.
Do all Linda's darts hit the target...nah but when does anyone get a bullseye on every toss.

Here's Shelley & Lovelady on the Elm Ext. with an profile inset of Lovelady for comparison of the shape of the rear of his head - which is sloping. I couldn't find a side view of Shelley in profile for comparison in which the rear of his head could be seen. However, we can see how totally different his head shape is in comparison - it's pretty much vertical in the back rather than sloping like Lovelady's. Seems pretty obvious to me that Lovelady has a pretty unique shape to his head - and the guy running down the extension has the same head shape. If you study it closely you can even see there is a faint "indentation" in the crown area (where the purple color is fainter) - that's his bald spot showing. 

The reason this is a funky color is because i had to tone down the shadows in a photo editor as much as possible - they  created a black "fuzz" or "blur"  around the actual headshape that distorted the actual shape and made the head bigger.  So, please, no Cinque cracks! 

Got both of them now...

IMO, each has a unique, head shape - and in Shelley's case, hair style. The height and body habitus of each of these characters is also that of none other than Shelley & Lovelady.

In order to dismiss what we see in Gerda's excellent work, the key question is -- or should be -- what are the chances that there are 2 other men within spitting distance of the front steps,-- running down the Elm Ext. TOGETHER, just as they said in most of their statements and testimonies -- with those quirky heads shapes, as well as being the requisite height and build AND wearing the same clothing? 100:1?

IMO, probably more like a million to 1.  And i agree, too that Prayer Man is a different kettle of fish.

One other unique quirk about Bill Shelley's hair that helps prove that's Bill Shelley on the Elm Extension....

In stills and animated gifs of Shelley when he is in the bright light, he has a swath of highlights that glint off of his red hair up the left side. You can see it in the stills of him by the police car. i posted above.  We can also see this same white swath running up the side of his head in stills taken from the animated gif  of Shelley & Lovelady running down the Elm Ext. - both before and after adjustment in a photo editor. IMO, that is another nail in the coffin that it is Shelley on the Elm Extension. Unless, of course, he has a doppleganger (ala "Harvey & Lee). Hey, maybe Armstrong would be interested in writing a new book?: "Bill & Hoyt".

One other unique quirk about Bill Shelley's hair that helps prove that's Bill Shelley on the Elm Extension....

Sorry, it's hard not to take such a low blow personally. And you can't get much lower than Cinque ...unless it's McAdams. 

I personally would love to see better pics but i do not believe they are necessary to prove prove that those 2 on the Elm Extension are  Shelley & Lovelady - and i laid out why above in pictures and text. Personally, i feel taken together it's the nail in the coffin of this idea that Lovelady & Shelley are still on the steps in Darnell.

It's okay Linda, I can understand you taking it personally, but I think the comparison being made was between yours and Cinque's photo analysis, not you and Cinque personally. We all know Cinque is a boorish buffoon. You on the other hand, are a well-spring of enthusiam and energy and you are definitely not a boorish buffoon. I'd trust you in a heartbeat over Cinque, and I think you can have a positive impact here, even if you're not winning every single member over with your photo efforts.

I admit for instance that I just don't always see what you see in some photos. But that probably speaks of my (lack of) ability more than anything else.

Yes, the only thing Cinque and I have i common is an Italian surname. (It's hell when you have ignorant, bottom-dwelling, scum-suckers like Scalia and Cinque on your "team" giving Italians a bad name!. LOL!) Thanks for your nice comments, Greg! Of course, I know i don't convince everyone - and sometimes i'm wrong - but i'll keep trying!

And btw, like Paul... I am also looking forward to what you and Lee have on Shelley, and agree with Paul that Shelley and Truly were in it up to their eyeballs. Poor Lee didn't stand a chance - he was planted by that biatch, Ruth Paine, in the middle of a wolves' den! .

One more thing, it is obvious we need to try and get a kick arse scan of the Couch film.

If I am not mistaken it is at ABC who seem to be more forthcoming than their 'brothers' at NBC.

We ough to give this a serious try.

Archival sources in the PBS JFK Breaking The News docu (where the 720 rip is from) states Mal Couch as the source, but then again the WFAA stuff is housed at.....yup the 6th fl museum.

I suspect that the Couch film was handled by Couch himself or his estate since the 6th fl. museum does not list the Couch film.

I am looking forward to what you and Lee have on Shelley, Greg. I am pretty sure he helped stitch up Oswald along with Truly.

Lee has made us all rethink and look at the stairs with new goggles on.

Thats not to say he's right, but he's made some excellent points IMO.

And if Gregs work can shed any new light on Shelley, and Lee's got something on Shelley's whereabouts immediately after the shots then thats gotta be good. 

Lee Oswald's claims "out front with Shelley" seem remarkable to me. If we really believe in Oswald's innocence as I'm certain most here do then we owe it to ourselves and Lee Oswald to try and figure this out. Shelley seems an excellent starting point to me, because of what LHO had claimed.

Imagine how important all of this becomes should it ever be discovered and conclusively proved that Shelley remained on the steps and outright lied about what he was doing after the shots........
