I'm guessing he attached his camera to the wrong end of the selfie-stick with sellotape and sat in a state of complete anxiety and frustration when he just kept ending up with pictures of his feet and new flip flops, Alan.

I bought this for my Nokia Lumia 1020 Smartphone. It doesn't come with any instructions in the packaging so I had to call the store to figure out how to extend it. After some difficult giggling I managed to find the notch that allows you to extend it by pulling.

It is very difficult to mount the phone and not hit any buttons that deactivate the timer setting you just set, but careful testing and repeating will allow you to find the grasp point between the buttons to mount the camera on the holder. This is probably more a design problem with the Lumia 1020 than the selfie stick. When you get everything right and the camera is mounted you hit the shutter button and a timer image appears counting down the seconds. Extend the camera and wait for the click. I find the 10 second timer setting built in to the Windows camera adequate.

It works but not without much difficult wrangling. After my initial tests I can't get the last extender section to retract and it is preventing me from collapsing it to its retracted size. Typical Chinese mediocrity and design bugs being passed-off as a mainstream product.

All i know, Lee, is that he's gone quiet. Real quiet. Have "they" found him......or is his flip flop stuck on a nail.

I have much to ponder in work tonight.
