REOPEN KENNEDY CASE

Hey ROKC-ers
Our greg is in hospital. He's had a heart attack but is reportedly in good spirits. This is the message from his wife, Toni.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Greg had a heart attack yesterday afternoon. He's in hospital in Orange and is going to be having an angiogram later this morning to determine what treatment he will be needing. He's in fairly good spirits this morning and hasn't had any more chest pain overnight."

I think we should fundraise via a gofund me account for the time he is off work...
any ideas?

So far I've heard "gofundme and pozible" and "ozcrowd" are good sites...

That's a great idea. Their fees can be a bit steep, but overall it's user friendly and easily recognizable to people everywhere...Gofundme, that is.

I've just about finished setting up a 'give a little' account which takes no fees. I'll post here once it's done!

There's also his PayPal, that can be used immediately.

Toni has just said that Greg has been transfered to Syndey and is in surgery now. (I don't know if that is good or bad).

On the home page, scroll down to the "Donation Jar," mid-page. You'll see an "Amount Box" with $5 as a default amount. Simply adjust this amount to whatever you wish, then click the PayPal Donate button below that and it will take you to the PayPal screen where you can see the order details (amount to Greg Parker), you verify everything, and if you have a PayPal account, you log in and execute the transfer. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can create one.

I'm not pushing PayPal one way or the other, but it's a safe, convenient way to send funds quickly. The fees are pretty low too, compared to other options.

Just saw this at facebook from Greg's wife:

The surgeon just came out after nearly 6 hours and he said that all went well with Greg's op. A good outcome is expected. We are one lucky family that they got to it in time.
