Administrator Posts: 729 | This news has broken my heart. It is hard to accept for me. I know it sounds silly to say that but you have to understand that this man wrote the soundtrack to my life growing up as a teen through to my 20s and beyond. I was fortunate to see him live in concert and experience this musical fucking genius up close. Sad day indeed. Very sad. He was still doing his stuff as well as ever. Rest in peace Prince. The world just lost a jewel and is poorer for it. | |

I too identify with what Paul stated. It is very sad that such a scrappy and incredibly gifted little survivor like he was had to split the dream. I'm feeling sorry for myself as well because I did derive inspiration out of the way he stood tall and showed everyone he was not a pretender or a fake or a slacker. He could outdo anybody at his game. He received plenty of unfair criticism for all sorts of bogus reasons, and he well and truly told them all to just fuck off. | |
