Bullfuckinshit. Who is Griggs to say when the matter gets dropped?

If ever a case screamed for a very large broom to be pushed through it - this is it.

You have it exactly right, Steely.

Wasn't life magazine caught out for showing two z-frames in the wrong order?

I have to suggest that this was the initial discussion on faking some photoes:

Mrs. Paine's home. And there was no hurry, though, to leave the home, because Mrs. Paine was most anxious for the Life representatives to talk to her and get these pictures and everything--whether Marina has any part in this I don't know, because they spoke Russian, and she didn't tell me about it. But I know Mrs. Paine did. We left with the two Life representatives. They brought us to the Hotel Adolphus in Dallas.

I know Marguerite mentions photos plual here... but I think the shotgun pic was probably among other photos Life obtained.Neely St was chosen because I've long suspected another Russian wioman had lived there with a child. There was a whole slew of them wandering around having got to the US and then dumped their husbands.

I note that in Summers latest version of his book, he states the photos are real.

Did I mention something a bout a large broom...?

Afternoon of Christmas day here... to all yet to open the presents... may you get the very best.

Marina's testimony on it to WC and HSCA

Mrs. OSWALD. Perhaps she said it in English. I didn't understand. She talked to the reporters.

Mr. RANKIN. Did she say anything about being paid if she was going to tell any story?

Mrs. OSWALD. She has a mania--only money, money, money.

Mr. RANKIN. Did you understand that she was quarreling with Ruth Paine about something concerning the interview?

Mrs. OSWALD. Yes. It appeared to be a quarrel, but what they quarreled about, I don't know.

Mr. RANKIN. And after the quarrel, did you leave there?

Mrs. OSWALD. I went to my room. But then I showed Lee's mother the photograph, where he is photographed with a rifle, and told her he had shot at Walker and it appeared he might have been shooting at the President. She said that I should hide that photograph and not show it to anyone.

On the next day I destroyed one photograph which I had. I think I had two small ones. When we were in the hotel I burned it.

Mr. RANKIN. Did you say anything to her about the destruction of the photographs when she suggested that?

Mrs. OSWALD. She saw it, while I was destroying them.

Mr. RANKIN. After the assassination, did the police and FBI and the Secret Service ask you many questions?

Mrs. OSWALD. In the police station there was a routine regular questioning, as always happens. And then after I was with the agents of the Secret Service and the FBI, they asked me many questions, of course many questions. Sometimes the FBI agents asked me questions which had no bearing or relationship, and if I didn't want to answer they told me that if I wanted to live in this country, I would have to help in this matter, even though they were often irrelevant. That is the FBI.

 ----------------------------------------------

Mr. McDONALD. Now in the lower right-hand corner it says "Copyright G. deM." What does that notation mean to you?

Mrs. PORTER. Which one?

Mr. McDONALD. Where it says "Copyright."

Mrs. PORTER. I assume it was for some kind of book publications and somebody have a right in this photograph to claim it.

Mr. McDONALD. Have you ever seen that before--

Mrs. PORTER. No.

Mr. McDONALD [continuing]. That particular notation?

Mrs. PORTER, regarding all of the photographs, the different poses that we have seen, the photos you took of Lee, did you ever destroy any photograph of this nature?

Mrs. PORTER. Well, it have been brought to my attention just recently. Apparently I did. I forgot completely about it until somebody spoke about. I think I did.

Mr. McDONALD. And how many did you destroy?

Mrs. PORTER. I don't remember.

Mr. McDONALD. When did you do that?

Mrs. PORTER. After Lee was arrested.

Mr. McDONALD. Did anyone tell you to do this?

Mrs. PORTER. I don't remember. I think I was just afraid that it will be more evidence against Lee and could be against me too.

Mr. McDONALD. How did you destroy the photograph?

Mrs. PORTER. Well, I had been told I burned it. That is probably--

Mr. McDONALD. Do you remember doing that?

Mrs. PORTER. Very vaguely.

Mr. McDONALD. Was anyone with you when you did it?

Mrs. PORTER. I don't remember.

Mr. McDONALD. Do you know how many copies Lee had made of this photograph?

Mrs. PORTER. No, I don't.

Mr. McDONALD. Do you know whether he had many duplicates made?

Mrs. PORTER. I don't know. I have no idea.

Greg,
Neither photo of baby or gun packing daddy would require entering the premises if James Jackson was correct about the front stairs that existed on the building. He said they were removed. He thought, when talking over the phone to him, that the stairs went up from the yard.
The electric meter debate on EF led me to ask him. He even drove there and looked!
The point is the only way a meter reader could see inside was to take the front staircase, which I wanted to know if they were near the "electric meters"...
I showed this picture

It showed the eletric service and how it was lowered to above the window.
The next pic shows how it has been lowered to code level and window covered over.

Mr. Jackson believed the meter reader and himself would use the "front" stairs if they wanted to see inside.
He stated that was how he used the apartment when he was there. That is the only way anyone can see into the apartment.

As Lee Farley has noted:

Dallas Power & Light - MJ Fish

The service had been connected for a CP Cornett until Jan 16 when Cornett advised by phone he was moving.

Due to policy, the service was not disconnected at this time.

The meter was read on February 19. At that time, the meter reader reported the premises as vacant.

The meter was read again on March 20 and 36 kilowatt hours had been used. However, the meter reader once again reported the premises vacant.

The next reading was on April 19 and reflected a usage of 66 kilowatt hours. The premises this time were reported as occupied.

On April 24, a letter was sent to the address requesting the new occupant to make a deposit. No response was received.

On May 1, a company representative paid a visit to the address and the letter sent on Apr 24 was seen still sitting in the letter box.

As a result of the above, a cut off order was issued for electricity services on May 1, with the services duly cut the next day

Fish advised he had made a hand written note in a file on March 29, that 214 W Neely was occupied by Lee Harvey Oswald.

He was unable to say where or how he got that information. It may however, have come from Gray/Bray as W Waldo George thought Gray/Bray worked at that company.

Dallas Power & Light received no payment for electrical services at the apartment between Jan 16 and May 2 when it was cut.

[How was it determined by the meter reader on March 20 that the apartment was vacant? Was this finding based on a reading of the meter, or observation of the dwelling, or a combination of those methods? Clearly, it was important to get this right because it triggered the company to send a request for a deposit. All in all, this seems to suggest that the apartment became occupied and then vacated again between Feb 19 and Mar 20. The date Oswald and family were supposed to have moved in fits within that timeframe, but his vacating of the apartment was not officially for about another month.]

I asked if the stairs went up the side and Jackson was sure they were in front, so I was stuck without an older picture of Neely.
No way to know how the meter reader could see inside with the documented Neely St. deck/stair configuration in '63.

Can you show me a interior photo taken by Lee or heck even Marina of the inside of Neely?
Only exterior shots?
Hmm okay.
I wonder if Marina was ever shown pictures of Neely interior by FBI, etc.?

http://gaylenixjackson.com/jfk-assassination/guest-post-the-curious-case-of-the-american-bakeries-pay-voucher/

Through the cooperation of the American Bakeries head office in Chicago, the FBI was able to locate two cheques (one being the cheque of note) issued to Jackson, which is questionable, considering it is policy for American Bakeries to discard all cancelled cheques after two years.[27] The cheque that apparently matched this voucher (Number 82-19356), was dated August 22, 1960 (Monday), totalling $56.78, and a second cheque offered for comparison, dated September 2, 1960 (Saturday) (Number 82-19406), totalling $70.53, showing that both had been cashed as a third party cheque.[28] The cheque dated August 22, evidently cashed by Jackson at a Dallas-area A&P grocery store (Store 113), was stamped as being paid by the First National Bank of Dallas on August 25 (Thursday).[29] This in theory would confirm that the cheque’s date was in fact on the 22nd- which was not in sync with the pay periods for American Bakeries. Indeed, Norman Beaton, who was employed at American Bakeries as a tax accountant, stated that temporary employees were sometimes issued cheques at any point of the week, however the amount of the cheque does not coincide with the amount of hours Jackson could possibly have worked within such a short period of time. Potentially, it could have been a pay advance; however, one has to question why a company would issue a pay advance of a full week’s wages to a new part time employee of just days, especially when there was no guarantee that he would work enough hours by the next pay period to reimburse this “loan”. This is curious, considering the next pay cheque would have been the Sept 2 cheque (if the loan reflected the pay period ending on August 27) that was also admitted as evidence (for comparison only), and appears to be a pay cheque, based off full time hours. According to an FBI investigation, Jackson earned $1.66 per hour. Their breakdown gives hours as worked from August 20 through August 27; however, as demonstrated by the reverse of the cheque, the funds were paid on August 25, an anomaly that has never been explained. In short, the timing and amounts of the cheques raises some issues, issues that were never followed up on.

I argued this point before at EF too that the checks don't add up so to speak. Jackson looked at them and did not have any answer for why they amounted to such. Seemed odd to him. Seemed suspicious to me.  The fact AB coughs up thee check for the stub! Holy cow! They kept  it?!?
Over two years old and should have been shit canned. But there it is folks the Check once attached to the pay stub....

Two checks,,, and possibility of two stubs found.  :D I had to say it!

Article notes inconsistant date format on checks and undocumented perforations, as well as check being processed by two banks in one day.
One check not fully processed, stamps change....more mysteries from Neely Street perhaps?

Now where is that pesky pay stub???

Notes about American Bakeries / Cushman's Bakeries owner:

L. Arthur Cushman

Cushman is one of the best known names in the town of Patterson because of the large tracts of land owned by the family in Towners. The Cushman family made its fortune in the bakery business when Lewis A. Cushman established the Cushman Bakeries. L. Arthur Cushman, his son, was the founder, president, and chairman of the American Bakeries Company, which purchased Cushman Bakeries, American Bakeries manufactured and distributed wholesale bakery products in one-third of the United States.

The Cushman Farm was well known in the mid-20th century, and a portion of it became the Wonder Lake State Park in the late 1990s. Cushman Road was named after the family. Other members of the family lived in nearby Pawling, and members of the family still reside in the area.

L. Arthur Cushman maintained homes on the Farm and on Park Avenue in New York City. He was born in New York City on December 17, 1898. His wife was the former Martha Bryan Allan, and they had two children. He died in his Park Avenue apartment after a long illness at the age of 64 on January 7, 1963.

Cushman sold his 210 acre "Maynard Farm" in Towners in May, 1948. The sale was announced by Previews Incorporated and the National Real Estate Clearinghouse, marketing agents for the property. Arthur Hamilton of Towners brokered the sale to J. Ernest Fishman of New York City. Included in the sale was the 100-year-old, 14 room manor house with a pillared portico. The property also featured an 8 room guest house, a small farm cottage with a three car garage, another 3 car garage, and a large dairy barn. The land included large expanses of lawns, 50 acres of woods, and a mile of the middle branch of the Croton River.

The 2,500 acre Cushman estate in Towners made headlines in November, 1958, when a high profile murder case began with the shooting of the Cushman caretaker. Clarence Edward Smith, 30, was the deputy game warden and caretaker of the Cushman property for nine years, and lived with his family in a cottage on the estate. Smith was shot to death while carting leaves with a tractor just 1,500 feet from the cottage. Three men from the Bronx were arrested the next day and brought before Patterson Justice George Pfahl. It was alleged that they were hunting illegally on the Cushman property, and had been intercepted by Smith, who confiscated their hunting licenses. The men had hunted on the Cushman property for two years, although "no hunting" signs were clearly posted. Smith had spotted them men in October, and brought them before Justice Pfahl, who fined the men $10 each. The men admitted that they offered a $10 bribe to Smith to ignore the trespassing, but Smith refused. The two men confessed that they fired four times at Smith, and Coroner Dr. Frank Genovese of Patterson confirmed that one shot struck Smith. A second shot was fired at Smith's head as he lay mortally wounded. State Police alleged that one of the men, Martin Anzalone, 28, fired the fatal shot at Smith in retaliation. A Putnam County grand jury convened four days after the shooting, and returned an indictment of first degree murder. His companion, Mario Sesta, 17, was also indicted along with his father, Corrado, who was indicted as an accessory to a felony. The men confessed their crime to State Police investigators and were convicted.

If the front stairs came up the way James said then the baby pic would be either after the stairs were removed. Or they came up from the side from the alley and would not be seen in the baby pic if they had not been removed by that time. Or there was never any front stairs.
An original 'as built' from that time period for the property would help to show stairs.

We need Neely Docs! For history's sake.

Outstanding, Ed.

What to make of those notations?

Lived at 702 Elsbeth between Oct '62 and May '63?

And then the "Neely $65" in pen which may or may not be by the same hand?

The photos, whether they are fake or not is a matter of high dispute.

I do one better.

After browsing trhu all the photos in full screen slideshow mode of the Oswald gallery, I say that that is not Oswald at all.

http://www.reopenkennedycase.org/apps/photos/album?albumid=15777711

His facial features on the BYP on close inspection do not resemble him at all, this guy looks of Italian descent.

I am starting tosee way too many things......time for detox me reckons.:P

From Ruth Paine's NO Grand Jury testimony:

"...and we were discussing that he needed a job and so Lanie said that maybe there might be a job at the School Book Depository and I think the question was raised whether he could drive a bread truck, or something like that you know, and wether he could drive at all..."

Maybe they had American Bakeries in mind? :)

Apart from notes gifted to us by Fritz an Co. from the Oswald interrogations, what proof is there that Oswald actually was shown any of the BYP's and said they wre fake? I realize if this info was corroborated by more than one person then its could be likely, but I'm curious.

My point being, do we know when the photos were really discovered...and not relying on anything the DPD SS or FBI told us. When did we see these pics for the first time?

Tell me our first glimpse of them wasn't in the issue of Life.

I apologise in advance if this has been covered off, and is widely known.

Rose testified to the Warren Commission:

Mr. BALL. On Saturday morning you went out to Irving again?

Mr. ROSE. Yes, sir; I did.

Mr. BALL. At this time you had a search warrant?

Mr. ROSE. Yes, sir; I did.

Mr. BALL. What did you search on this day?

Mr. ROSE. We made a search of the garage, mainly, on this day since quite a bit of Lee Oswald's property was in the garage.

Mr. BALL. What did you find there?

Mr. ROSE. Well, I found two sea bags, three suitcases, and two cardboard boxes and all of them contained numerous items of property of Oswald.

Mr. BALL. Did you find some pictures?

Mr. ROSE. Yes; I found two negatives first that showed Lee Oswald holding a rifle in his hand, wearing a pistol at his hip, and right with those negatives I found a developed picture--I don't know what you call it, but anyway a picture that had been developed from the negative of him holding this rifle, and Detective McCabe was standing there and he found the other picture--of Oswald holding the rifle.

Mr. BALL. What color were the sea bags?

Mr. ROSE. I believe they were kind of an off white--I would call them--more of a greyish-white.

Mr. BALL. What about the suitcases?

Mr. ROSE. I don't remember the color of those suitcases. I know one of them was real worn.

Mr. BALL. But you brought that property back here into town, did you?

Mr. ROSE. Yes; we did.

A scan of this document can be found on the Dallas archives website at http://jfk.ci.dallas.tx.us/ Page 1

The following items were recovered in Irving, Texas, at 2515 West 5th Street on November 23, 1963, by Moore, Rose, and Stovall:

Blue suitcase containing:

Sharp shooter medal

1 bag containing some old jewelry

2 watches

1 key

Dog tag

Envelope containing some 35mm negatives

Several miscellaneous Russian books/and literature

1 grey metal box containing miscellaneous Russian literature and some slide negatives

Miscellaneous photographs and maps

Yellow envelope containing miscellaneous pictures and letters

Pamphlet on the Fair Play for Cuba Committee

1 candy box containing pictures. correspondence, and letters

1 notice of attempt to deliver mail, card dated November 20, 1963, to Mr. Lee Oswald, 2515 West 5th, Irving, Texas - a parcel to be picked up.

1 Book on Modern Postage Stamps

Miscellaneous personal papers and work receipts

1 copy of The Worker paper, dated October 20, 1963

Book containing World Atlas

Marine Corp Recruiting Depot Manual, Second Batallion, 2000 Platoon, San Diego, California.

Brown envelope containing hand written manuscripts of Lee Oswald.

In the words of Detective Guy Rose: "Yes; I found two negatives first that showed Lee Oswald holding a rifle in his hand, wearing a pistol at his hip, and right with those negatives I found a developed picture - I don't know what you call it, but anyway a picture that had been developed from the negative of him holding this rifle, and Detective McCabe was standing there and he found the other picture - of Oswald holding the rifle." (5)

Unfortunately, the testimony of Detective John A. McCabe, who has been named as finding one of the most vital pieces of evidence in the investigation, was not considered of sufficient importance to be included in either the Commission Report or its Hearings. Oddly, his name does not appear on any of the property receipts for items seized during that search (6).

So, my question is when did the press or the general public or anyone else for that matter outside the FBI, DPD get to view these BYP's before the infamous edition of Time Life's front cover job on Oswald.

Putting aside, what we're told Fritz said to Lee, and what Rose testified......
